The battlefield near Jena
By car or bus (not part of my offer)
On 14th October 1806, about 100,000 soldiers were fighting near Jena twice as many French under the command of Napoleon than Prussians and Saxons. Therefore, the defeat was inevitable.
Learn in this tour about tactics, weapons and faults at four decisive venues. Come close to that day by looking at the memorial stones where you get to know how many men were marching in which direction at this place with the time of the day.
Be touched by individual destinies and by listening to reports of eyewitnesses.
Nevertheless, you should not forget to enjoy a beautiful landscape!
Back in Jena at the end of the tour, I will show you three authentic places and tell you some of their stories from 1806.

The battlefields are approx. 3 km and 200 meters in altitude from the Jena market. I recommend traveling to the tour location by bus or car.
I would be happy to put together a day program with both battlefields Jena and Auerstedt.
